All About BB Cream - A comparison

Hey guys!
As some of you may have known, I love BB Cream! My first encounter with BB cream started with Missha Perfect Cover which I ordered from Ebay. I instantly fell in love with the finish, the texture, and all the good things it has. From that time on, my love for BB Cream goes on.

*Click on the name for more indepth review for each BB Cream*
  1. Caring Colors BB Cream - A friend of mine bought this for me in Indonesia. I like to mix this with Missha Perfect Cover especially in Summer for a dewy-but not greasy- finish.
  2. Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream #21 - My first BB cream and still remains my favorite. It has SPF 42 which is ideal for sunny summer days. Because of the high amount of SPF, this BB cream can create whitecast, so I don't recommend to wear it if you're going to take a lot of pictures.
  3. Skin79+ Hot Pink BB Cream - I ordered this BB Cream based on curiosity, because this is one of the most famous BB Cream. I don't think it's a bad product, but I don't reach for it quite often.
  4. Rival De Loop BB Cream - Rival de Loop is 'a made in germany' BB Cream which is surprisingly not bad. I am always skeptical to non asian BB Creams because they're mostly only tinted moisturizer labelled as BB cream. But this one is actually nice.
  5. Maybelline Color Smooth BB cream - The worst BB Cream I've ever encountered, so far.
  6. Holika Holika Peach Girl BB Cream - A really nice BB Cream, kinda similar to Missha Perfect Cover. It looks really ashy and white once applied but it turns out natural after a few minutes on my face which I really like.
Among 6 BB Creams I have, my favorite is still Missha Perfect Cover, followed by Holika Holika - Caring Colors -  Rival de Loop - Skin79 and lastly Maybelline Color Smooth.

Do you like BB Cream like I do? and what is your favorite so far?

Pam

But don't get me wrong, I do feel comfortable with my body ( but I don't mind losing some kilos here and there :p ) because I have to be careful on what looks good or doesn't look good on me ( e.g I'm not friend with anything made of jersey ).

Clinique Chubby Stick - #07 Super Strawberry

I don't really know how it's going out there, but here in Germany, Clinique Chubby Sticks have been really famous and praised around youtubers and beauty bloggers for the past few months. I'm not really into Clinique make up, merely because of their packaging reminds me of pharmacy. Well, it might be just me, but Clinique make up products have never caught my attention.
But since I am such a hopeless victim when it comes to beauty related stuffs, I finally jumped in the chubby stick bandwagon and bought myself one in the color Super Strawberry #07. It was 20% off discount so I paid 15€ instead of 19,90€.

It comes in a pink jumbo pencil-like packaging which you don't have to sharpen because it has automatic 'roller' ( oh please pardon my horrible skill to describe something ). I don't have anything to complain about the packaging. I think it's not super pretty but it isn't ugly either.

Super Strawberry is a muted pink color. It looks bright on hand swatch, but once applied it sets to a muted and more neutral pink. The color is perfect for everyday use, but I would prefer more pigmentation. The texture is buttery and reminds me of lip balm. It's easy to apply and doesn't enhance dry / chappy lips. It's really moisturizing so I don't need to apply lip balm underneath.
It took me several days to conclude my though on this product. At first I didn't really like it and I think it wasn't worth the hype at all. It felt like nothing special or nothing that costs me 15€. I barely could feel any difference with my labello tinted lip balm which is only 2€. But after few days, I started to realize its moisture and richness, eventhough the pigmentation could be improved. I would wear this chubby stick more once my university starts in October because it provides such a nice and neutral color I would wear to school. But for now, I like to wear something brighter and fun for summer holiday ( eventhough here in Berlin, summer means 17-19'C, rain, wind, thunders and a lot of gloomy clouds ).
Overall, I'm not going to say this is a bad product, but I don't think I will buy another colors soon. ( Except, they're on sale for at least 50% off ;p )

Have you tried the famous Chubby Stick?

Essence Miami Roller Girl

When I first saw the press pictures about this limited edition from Essence, I wasn't really interested. I thought  this LE was a bit 'too playful and tacky' for my taste. But once it released on drugstores, I saw a lot of good reviews on its blush and tinted lip balm. Unfortunately, this LE was released in a lot of drugstores along my exam week, so I didn't have time to check out some drugstores and hunt for the blush and lip balm.
After I finished my exam week and started looking for the blush and lip balm, I couldn't find it anywhere because they're all sold out. But, ( I believe it was destiny. lol ) I spotted a full display, freshly set in Rossmann - Friedrichstraße just few days ago, which is a bit weird because usually this Rossmann always has LE products earlier than other drugstore. That made me even more sure it was destiny that they set it a bit late so I could get the blush and lip balm. lol.

See? the display was full and untouched.

BLUSH

I always like ombre blushes because they usually have unique colors. And this blush is no exception. It's pretty coral and pink matte shade. I think the color is perfect for summer. The packaging isn't the most beautiful one, but this one is practical. I don't really like when a blush packaging comes with a brush or mirror because usually the brush given isn't really good and the mirror is sometimes to small.

The blush is nicely pigmented and finely milled. It's so smooth and not dusty. The application is easy, because it's not too stark pigmented so you don't have to worry about looking like a clown. It gives a nice satin and glowy finish which I really like. The fact that it comes with 8gr of products makes me even happier. I think 8gr for only 2,75€ and such nice quality is a generous amount. The staying power is so-so but I think it's normal for powder blush.

COLOR CHANGE LIP BALM

*I'm also wearing the blush in this picture*

The lip balm claims to change color according to our mood, yeah I'm skeptical about this mood changing color, but the color of this lip balm does depend on everyone's natural lip color. It looks really orange on the tube, and looks coral on hand swatch, but it looks bright pink with a slightly coral tone on my lips. I really like the color it gives and it's moisturizing as well. It smells sweet and fruity, just like normal lip balm. It's nicely pigmented and looks natural. The lip balm surprised me even more than the blush. I really like this. It reminds me a bit on revlon lip butter, only this one is less pigmented. I'll  buy a back up if I am able to find another 'not yet sold out' display on other drugstore.

Overall, I can only recommend the blush and the lip balm. Go get them if they're available in your local drugstore. I know Essence is also available in some european countries, and also in some US; Asian and Australian drugstores. So I hope this limited edition will be available in your country too.

Love,
Pam

20€ Make Up Challenge!

Hello guys!
A lot of youtubers have been doing this 20€ ( or USD, or Poundsterling , etc ) make up challenge and I find it so fun and challenging at the same time. At first, I thought this wouldn't be so difficult since I also use a lot of drugstore make up on daily basis. Only later on I found out , it wasn't easy at all. @.@

After some rumblings inside my head ( lol ), I finally managed to get a full face make up under the budget! yeay! :D

Here is the look I did :

*The lash glue that comes with the lashes was really messy >.<*

Products I used :
    • Rival de Loop BB Cream ( I applied it using my hand )        :    2,99€
    • P2 Denim Delight Duo Blush and Face Powder ( I applied the powder and the blush using the blush brush from H&M )  :  3,75€
    • Essence Stay All Day Cream eye shadow ( applied using my fingers )  : 2,75€
    • Essence Long Lasting eye pencil in black  : 1,25€
    • Essence Brow Designer in brown  : 1,28€
    • H&M blush brush   : 3€
    • Essence Lip stain  : 1,95€
    • False lashes ( I bought a pair in woolworth, but I threw away the packaging so I forgot the brand >:< )  : 1,90€
TOTAL      ----------->  18,87€!!!

So as you can see, I completed the challenge! It wasn't easy but it was fun. Some of the products are nice and I have them already on my collection, only the false lashes weren't nice.

Do you think the challenge is easy? What products would you choose if you did the challenge?
xx,
Pam
