Coral Reef

Coral reef is my latest addition to my 100++ "chubby stick style" lip balm. I got it for free as magazine freebie. The brand ; Beyu is not familiar to me as it is kind of limited in distribution. The price range is more on the higher side of the drugstore ( together with L'oreal and Maybelline ) but it is not available in drugstores but in Douglas ( German version of Sephora ).

This chubby stick lip balm is my 1st product from Beyu.

Packaging wise, it is 1 : 1 with its inspiration the Clinique Chubby Stick.

Coral Reef is a orangey-coral shade. It actually looks more pale and peachy in real life, but my camera makes it look very orange -.-. I am very surprised with how pigmented it is. I thought it would be sheer but it is not. 

The texture is emollient and balmy, it feels comfortable on the lips but not very moisturizing / hydrating. It is hassle free to apply, but a mirror would help since it is very pigmented there's a chance it will bleed. The finish on the lips is balmy and glossy, just like normal tinted lip balm will look like. But be careful, it can set into lip lines because the formula is a tiny bit waxy. 

As you can see on the picts above, it is very pigmented. The coverage is opaque with a texture of lip balm which is very nice.. I just wish it was a bit more hydrating.

Innisfree Nail Polish

A lovely friend of mine who lives in South Korea was very kind to buy me this nail polish set from Innisfree. Since I have another friend who was travelling to South Korea in summer, he brought this set home to me! *thank you Anselm and Syaza! <3*

The nail polish set comes in a beautiful eco friendly box which looks very 'earthy'. I have heard a lot about Innisfree being an eco friendly brand using a lot of natural ingredients . The set contains 2 nail polish shades , the blue one has fuzzy powder and mini brush to apply the powder and the lavender one has pearl with little tool to apply the pearls. Since I am not allowed to wear either fuzzy or pearl nails to work, so I have only tried the nail polishes. 

The nail polish comes in a very simple bottle with white cap. I love the simplicity of the packaging, and it looks shopisticated and still manage to look 'asian' imho :p

Disclaimer : I tried my best to find a number or shade's name but it is all written in korean and I understand next to nothing. lol so I'm gonna name the lavender one #1 and the blue one #2 .

#1 is a creamy lavender. It has creamy finish with no shimmer, a true pastel shade. It appears a bit sheer and uneven, it takes 3 coats to get opaque and it gets a bit gloopy after 1st coat, even though I wait until it completely dries.

#2 is a matte medium blue. It has lovely formula, not like the lavender one. It takes literally 1 coat to get opaque and it applies evenly and not gloopy at all.

Both nail polishes dry relatively fast and they don't chip easily. I got 4-5 days ( with top coat ) before they started to chip.

Overall, I think quality-wise they are fine. The blue one is great but the lavender one is not very impressive. I don't know how much they cost so I can't really tell if they are worth the price. But I think Innisfree's prices are drugstore range so these nail polishes are quite decent products.

La petite patisserie

I've heard a lot of great things about Laura Mercier perfume and body care range. I've been wanting forever to try their perfume which all smell like desserts ( and I love dessert!! ). But there's only 1 Laura Mercier counter in Berlin and it is not easily accessible so I never got a chance to try. 

Since I visited Paris few weeks ago, I didn't waste the chance to try Laura Mercier's perfume and when I saw that Laura Mercier counter at Printemps Paris was having this set of 3 mini perfumes, I was so happy!

The set comes in a very lovely cardbox. It contains 3 mini perfumes at each 15ml. I think it is the perfect size for mini perfume because it is not too little like those 5ml sets at duty free. The mini size is the perfect size for handbag as well. 

The set contains each 15ml of Vanilla, Fresh Fig and Almond coconut Milk. I looooove them all, they smell literally like their names advised. I didn't fall in love with the scent at the first spray, but it is something that will grow after times. They smell quite intense I'd say, but don't worry, they don't smell sickly sweet. They smell lovely on their own but they smell even better when layered together. I found that fresh fig smells the best when it's worn alone. But I love to layer them together too. My favorite combo is vanilla as base note, almond coconut milk as heart note and fresh fig as top note. I've been receiving a lot of compliments about the scents.

They smell alone, or together like fall and winter. There's something about them that reminds you of the colder months, and since it is now fall in Berlin, they are just perfect.
To be honest, I didn't expect the scent to last long, but it lasts forever. I can still smell the scent on my clothes even on the other day.

I am really impressed with the quality of them and I do think they are worth the money. I'll take a look at another scents and body products on my next Laura Mercier counter visit. :-)

I Feel You, I Love You, I Adore You

P2 is a local german drugstore brand. The brand used to has 'boring and old fashioned' image - at least to me , but for the past year, they changed a lot of their design and product range .

Just recently, P2 launched their new collection for fall winter ( in Germany, almost all drugstore brands change their collection every summer and winter ) and the collection includes a new range of matte lipsticks. I've read from a lot of german blogs that the new matte lipsticks are good, so I picked up 3 shades.

The lipsticks come in sleek matte silver bullets which look kinda cheap imho, but they're cheap so I won't complain. :p

#030 - I feel you

#040- I love you

#050- I adore you

#030-I feel you is a bright fuchsia which is not very deep. I'd call it baby fuchsia. It looks more muted and wearable on the lips.

#040-I love you is a bright pinkish red. It appears more red on the lips with a hint of raspberry. The shade reminds me a lot of MAC impassioned but slightly more red and less coral.

#050-I adore you is a grape red color. It is a light vampy shade I'd say. It looks very dark on the bullet but appears lighter on the lips. If you want a wearable vampy shade, this is it.

The lipsticks have typical matte texture. They are creamy enough but still a bit dry. They are easy to apply and don't tug on the lips or set into the lip lines. They are not the most moisturizing lipsticks, but it's normal for matte lipsticks I guess. They deliver true matte finish, no shine/shimmer/gloss at all.

Since it's getting cold here and my lips get dry easily, I usually apply lip balm underneath so my lips won't suffer too much. Applying lip balm beforehand also helps the lipsticks glide on smoother.

The staying power is impressive. They don't go anywhere even after eating, drinking and a lot of talking. 

Overall, these lipsticks are indeed very good especially for the 3,95€ price tag. I do think they are great dupe for MAC matte lipsticks.

Dolce and Gabbana Perfect Luminous Liquid Foundation

I've recently purchased DIOR forever flawless foundation to replace my empty Guerlain lingerie de peau. But unfortunately I was not entirely happy with the DIOR foundation so I went on hunting for the alternative. 

On my recent trip to Paris, I had a full face make up application at Dolce&Gabbana counter at Galeries Lafayette and I fell in love at the 1st sight with the foundation.

I said to the BA that I have combination to oily skin but after examining my skin, she said that she actually thought my skin was more normal to combination which I later agreed because I am mostly dry around the cheeks area and only a bit oilier around my Tzone. So we decided on the luminous foundation rather than the mattifying one.

The foundation comes in a typical high end packaging. It's a glass bottle with a golden cap and a pump that dispenses the perfect amount of product. The bottle is very well made and sturdy.

The foundation has thick-liquid consistency and mildly scented. I can't really tell what scent it is but I read somewhere that all Dolce and Gabbana make up has fig scent. It is very mild though, so don't worry. I find that the foundation is best applied with beauty blender for lighter coverage or stippling/buffing brush for fuller coverage.

You can see the luminous finish better at this picture below. It was taken after 3 hours wearing this foundation.

The coverage of this foundation is medium to full, very buildable and doesn't feel heavy on the skin. You can layer this foundation for fuller coverage without ending up being cakey , mask-like or dull. On daily basis, I am happy with 1 layer of this foundation. The coverage is enough to cover any imperfections, blemishes, hyperpigmentations and rednesses.

It doesn't cling on pores or dry patches. It delivers such a lovely luminous finish just like the name advised. It is not luminous oily but more luminous dewy. People with very oily skin might find it a bit too dewy though but I personally love the finish that I don't feel that layering it with powder is a must.

The foundation is fairly long wearing as well. I got 8 hours straight before it starts to fade gradually. I don't feel the need to touch up with powder even after 8 hours, blotting powder is enough. 

I am very in love with the finish. It is something I have not achieved before with another foundation. The 'high end' feeling is definitely there and it is just... flawless. 

The foundation retails for €49,99,- / 30ml which is such a steep price but I do think it's worth every penny. I am loving this foundation very much, I think I've found my new holy grail high end foundation.
