Roberto Cavalli

To be honest, I am not a fan of Roberto Cavalli in general. Even the perfume didn't catch my attention at first mainly because of the  'tacky looking' packaging. The advertisements of this new perfume from Roberto Cavalli are everywhere. Magazines, youtube, department stores, etc etc. Still I didn't have any interest until I got the mini sample inside one of the beauty box I subscribe. I fell in love the first time I sniffed it and it took me quite a long time before deciding to get the full size mainly because of the expensive price.

Roberto Cavalli describes the perfume as exuberant, vibrant,  sensual, and mesmerizing and I have to agree because it is quite a sensual and heavy scent. The commercial is also sexy and "very va va voom".

The packaging to be honest is not really my thing. But I love the scent so much that I manage to ignore the tacky golden-tiger packaging. The bottle is - to my relieved - more simple than the box even though you can still sense the diva attitude.

The perfume belongs to the ambery floral family. Top note is pink pepper, heart note is orange blossom and base note is tonka beans. 

Despite of the diva concept, the scent is 'wearable'. It is heavy and strong but if you spray the right amount, it gives you a nice deep and sweet scent, perfect for the cold winter. 

What I like the most from this perfume is that it stays all day! I only need to spray a tiny bit and I smell like subtle diva ( lol ) the entire day.

Another Lip Butter

As some of you might have known, I do love my Korres Lip Butter so much, the only thing that bothers me is the pot packaging. I am not a fan of dipping my finger inside everytime I want to apply it on my lips. So when I found out that Korres actually has the stick version of the lip butter, I just couldn't say no.

The packaging is typical lip balm. It looks shopisticated though, with all the print on the bullet. The case is made of plastic but feels durable and sturdy. It is not in any way cheap looking. I got mine in shade Rose.

"Lip butter that instantly hydrates and softens the lips. Shea butter and sunflower wax deeply nourish and offer long lasting care, while mandarin oil conditions dry lips . Ideal for chapped lips."

The scent I must say is really subtle but comfortable and doesn't cause me any headache, and the lip balm is tasteless which is a good thing. The pigmentation is quite good as you can see on the pictures above. It is a really nice peachy coral color. The lip balm itself is moisturizing and hydrating enough even in winter when my lips get dry easily. Compare to the pot version, I can't spot any difference in terms of quality. Both versions deliver nice hint of color, moisturize and hydrate my lips very well and feel comfortable without any sticky feeling.

Another good point is that this stick form provides SPF 15 which for me is a plus score. Whereas the pot form doesn't.

The staying power is not good, but I think it's normal by lip balm and I don't mind re-applying it every hour. The price is also reasonable, retails for 8,25€.

They're Real!

I always wax my eye brows in Benefit Brow counter once in a month. Here in Germany ( I don't know how it is in other country ), we usually have a mini waxing salon at Benefit counter. I always go to Benefit Counter at Galeries lafayette in Berlin, because the SA is so nice ! ( Her name is Steffi!! ;))

Long story short, when I did my brows last week, I asked Steffi to let me try their They're Real Mascara and once I saw the result I fell in love.

The packaging is typical Benefit, super fun and retro. I love how benefit put so much efforts on the packaging. For a packaging sucker like me, it is a plus note.

They're Real retails for 22,50€. It's not cheap for a mascara, especially because I usually wear false lashes. But the result convinced me to buy it and I didn't regret . ;)

The wand is made of rubber, which I know a lot of people don't like it. But I honestly don't mind either rubber or plastic wands. The mascara tube looks nice, futuristic, durable and well made.

BEFORE

I know, you might be asking : " Where the hell are the lashes? I can't see anything!"

AFTER 

"Aaaah okay now I can see where the lashes are!! "

As you can see from the before picture above, I basically have nothing to begin with. I know a lot of you also have typical asian lashes, but mine are almost invisible. They're Real mascara elongates my lashes, gives volume and holds its curl. It is also pitch black so it makes my lashes more visible.

Even the brush is big, I find it easy to apply. And it reaches my bottom lashes pretty well too. It also stays on the whole day and doesn't flake nor smudge. My only problem is that , it tends to clump a bit if applied more than 1 coat and I have read that a lot of people say it dries quickly. I hope mine won't T.T

Have you tried any of Benefit mascara? I heard that 'Bad Gal' is also a good one!

Another Face of The Day

Since I just recently bought a new camera with flip out screen, the amount of myself camwhoring is just climbing up. lol

So I hope you don't mind me do face of the day quite often in the future. ^^ This is just a simple bronze look I've been wearing almost every day this week for work. ( I don't really wear full make up to uni, due to lack of time in the morning. lol )

It's been snowing a lot here in Berlin. I love snow, but it sucks when you get almost a snow storm every single day and it gets grey and dark so fast. T__T

The Spy Who Loved Me

So, as you might have read on my previous post , I bought a set of OPI Skyfall on beautybay.com black friday sale and here I show you the other shade I got in the set.

Love that my camera succeeded to catch the gold glitters

The Spy Who Loved Me is a bright tomato red with small golden glitter particles. I think the shade is perfect for christmas season, and brings a little happiness to the grey winter time ;)

It needs 2 coats to make it opaque and it applies easily and nice. My problem is that it chipped on my nails, like after 2 days. I had Sally Hansen Quick Dry top coat ( which I am not keen of  but I want to use it up ).

Overall, a nice christmassy shade, but I wouldn't pay it for the full size ( 16€ here in Germany ) because the quality isn't groundbreaking. Fortunately I got it on sale for ca.6€.
