Blue My Mind

I saw around bloggers and youtubers that 'Blue My Mind' nail polish from H&M has been getting a lot of attention lately. So when I saw this at my local H&M, I took it without any doubt.

I'm sorry you can see the line between my real nails and my gel nails because I haven't got any time to get it done in nail salon -__-"

Blue My Mind is a beautiful, bold electric blue shade. It's has creamy matte finish. The nail polish is surprisingly really good. The consistency is a bit thick and creamy but the application is smooth and easy. The pigmetation is AMAZING. It took me only 1 shade to get it opaque. But I always apply 2 coats anyway..I've been having this polish on my nails for 5 days now and it looks just as nice as the 1st day applied.
For 3,95€ / 9ml, I think this is an amazing product and def won't be my last H&M nail polish.

Pam

Clarins Everlasting Compact Foundation

I've been using Clarins Skin Care products for almost 3 years now and I love them so much. I tried a lot of other skin care brands like Clinique, Biotherm, Anayake, Shiseido, Sensai etc but I always find myself coming back to Clarins. As much as I love the skin care line, I am not really aware of the make up line. Mainly because they are more on the higher price level, and other giant names like Chanel, Dior, Bobbi Brown and co attract my attention more. But when I visited my favorite Clarins counter at KaDeWe-Berlin to buy my skin care routine, the lovely SA gave me some testers of this compact foundation. I tried it on for 2 weeks before coming back again and bought the full size product because I love it !

The foundation comes in a typical Clarins' gold packaging. The golden case comes with a red velvet pouch. The case is really simple, plain gold with a 'C' symbol craved on the right corner of the lid. The packaging does look luxurious but it catches finger prints like crazy T.T.. I am quite OCD when it comes to finger prints and it started to kill me softly lol.
There is a big mirror built inside the case and also a sponge to apply the foundation. I personally don't use the sponge to apply it, and I use my Ecotools Buffing brush.

The foundation is finely pressed. It's so soft and buttery. There is almost no fallout during the application which is amazing.. I tried applying the foundation with the sponge or a buffing brush and both way work just fine.

BEFORE - AFTER

On the before after picture above, you can see that my skin is on its good condition now ( thanks to Clarins skin care, and the cold weather coming. ), so there is honestly not much to cover. However, I am still impressed by this foundation. I was skeptical at the beginning about the coverage, but the coverage is great. It is def buildable, I would say sheer to medium. It doesn't look cakey at all on my oily skin,it is even mattifying. On days that I would like more coverage, I apply a little amount of this foundation upon my Tony Moly Pure Cotton BB Cream and they look amazing together. The staying power is also great. If you have oily skin like me, you might want to try this because this is really goooood.

The price is expensive at 37€/10gr but it's def worth the money. I am in love!

Wet n Wild Eye Shadow Palettes

I finally managed to get my hands on the famous Wet n Wild eye shadows! I've read and heard for some fellow german bloggers that Wet n Wild is actually available in Germany, at a supermarket called Edeka. The problem is; not all Edeka carries WnW products. Thanks to FrauShopping, I found out that there's one Edeka near where I live that carries WnW. I went there last week and found the whole display of WnW waiting for me. :-D

The prices are unfortunately more expensive than the prices in the US, but are still fine for drugstore products; even cheaper than Maybelline and L'Oreal here in Germany. The 3-er eye shadow palette retails at 3.99€, the 6-er at 6.99€ ,  the lipstick at 3.99€ ,  the blush for 4.99€ and nail polishes for 1.99€ ( Wild Shine range ) or 3.49€ ( Fast Dry range )..

GREED 6-er Eye Shadow Palette
My favorite shades are the matte peach ( 2nd on the left side of the palette ) and the periwinkle ( 1st on the right side of the palette ). The periwinkle is so pretty !!

KNOCK ON THE WOOD 3-er Eye Shadow Palette

I love all of the colors but if I must choose, my favorite is the eyelid color. It's a sheen plum shade which is bright enough to pop but still wearable for daily use. I've been loving plum eye shadow this season.

WALKING ON EGGSHELLS 3-er Eye Shadow Palette

This is most wearable palette among the other palettes I bought. There's actually no extra ordinary shade, but I still find the palette interesting and useful. My favorite shade is the crease one.

Overall, WnW eye shadows are amazing for the price level. They are all buttery and soft ( the glittery shades could be a little bit rough, but are still okay ). They are not dusty whatsoever and the pigmentation is great! They also stay the whole day over a good primer.
I think they are def worth the price!

The Body Needs Haul - Part 1

Do you know about The Body Needs? It's basically an online store that sells MAC sample products like lipsticks, blushes, pigments ,etc. TBS also sells its own line of make up like pressed eye shadows, lipsticks, blushes, etc.
I personally think, the concept of being able to try MAC Lipsticks with cheap price ( 3,79$ ) is really interesting. Because MAC Lipsticks in  Germany retail for 18-22€ each.

My order took about 3 weeks to arrive from the US. I was surprised to see a lot of products inside. TBS generously gave me some goodies. I got 1 sample of brush cleaner,1 glitter pigment and 1pressed eye shadow. I also got 1 full size TBS lipstick. I am really happy with the service. Recommended!

Here are the TBS products I got for free. I'll review them on separate post.

The MAC lipstick sample comes in a relactable mini bullet which is really well made. The lipstick bullet consists of ( approximately ) 80% lip balm and 20% MAC lipstick on the top of it.. With that amount of sample , you can try the lipstick for longer time and decide whether it's worth the money to buy the full size version. Great idea, right?

I ordered 5 MAC lipstick samples ; Girl About Town, Impassioned, Ruby Woo, Syrup, and Speed Dial. I decided to order those samples because I have love-hate relationship with MAC lipsticks.
I find some MAC lipsticks are pretty and they have good quality. But some of them are drying, too matte, and enhance the lip lines. Since they retail for 18-22€ here, I don't want to spend money on colors I am not sure I'll wear a lot. Then The Body Needs came to the rescue! :-D

Among the 5 colors I ordered, Ruby Woo and Impassioned are my favorite..Syrup and Speed Dial are a bit too cool-toned for me, while Girl About Town is another fuschia shade that looks pretty but I know I won't reach for it often enough. So, I might buy the full size version of Ruby Woo and Impassioned the next time I visit MAC counter.  :-D

Current Obsession

I am usually not a fragrance person. I always stick to 1-2 fragrances I really love and not looking for what's new on the market ( in this case, Elizabeth Arden 5th Avenue and Estee Lauder Sensous ) .. I always re-purchase the same fragrances over and over. But, that was an old story since now fragrances are my current ( dangerous! ) obsession.
I've been interested for awhile on Jo Malone Perfumes. On the first place, I am in love with the whole presentation ;  the packaging, the bottle, the box, how they present their products, etc etc.
As I am now working part time in a dept.store where they have a new Jo Malone store, the temptation is too much to resist. I tried my best though ( HAHA ), but as usual, I failed.

It says 'Customized Perfumes'

It says : "Create your own scent"

Look at the whole packaging!! so pretty , right? The small paper bag contains 3 samples the SA gave me. She was really nice, friendly and helpful. I love nice and friendly SA!!

The perfume comes in a box which is so pretty and I am in love. The box isn't just a normal cheap looking box you usually throw away. This box looks expensive , made of nice sturdy paper board, and you can use it as home decor whatsoever. lol. I personally put it on my vanity table just to make it prettier and more fancy. ( shallow me. lol )

The perfume I chose is Vanilla & Anise which is part of the 'Spicy/herbal' scent. I wanted something deep and heavy for winter but also still light enough for everyday use. The SA gave me 3 alternatives ( English Peer & Freesia, Blue Agava & Cacao, and Vanilla & Anise ), among them, I found Vanilla & Anise completes my need the best. My 2nd favorite was the Blue Agava & Cacao but it was a little to heavy for everyday use.
Vanilla & Anise smells just like Vanilla and Anise ( HAHA, I am so horrible at describing scent! ). Okay, it smells sweet but not kind of Escada's sweet ( if you know what I meant ), but more a deeper sweet. The Anise gives a touch of licourice hint to the perfume which is a good balance for the deep sweet vanilla. I would say, Vanilla&Anise is just my perfect definition of a warm -  fall perfume and a nice combination of herbal and floral.

Jo Malone perfumes retail for 88€ / 100ml which I think , is a reasonable price. With all the luxurious packaging, 88€ is not a high price. They also have a more expensive line with black bottles that retail for 105€ / 100 ml.. I am now interested on the body lotion but not sure if I want to spend 65€ #1stworldproblem.

What is your all time favorite perfume? or Do you have some on your wish list?  Mine are Roberto Cavalli by Roberto Cavalli, and Valentina by Valentino, Marc Jacobs DOT and Miss Dior Cherie.. See? I have just bought this and already lusting over so many other perfumes -___-

Pam
