Rimmel Lip Glosses

I am not a lip gloss girl. I prefer lipstick and lip balm for my lips. But just like any other women in the world, I couldn't resist a good bargain, for example these 4 Rimmel Lip glosses for the price of 8€ ( one Rimmel Lip gloss is normally 5-6€ each in drugstores ) that I found in TK Maxx just recently.

The packaging is typical lip gloss packaging, which I have nothing against it. There isn't anything spectacular about the packaging, but I like that it's practical.

All lip glosses are sheer and barely give any color if applied alone or without any lipstick underneath. I wouldn't apply these lip glosses on my bare lips, but I know they would be nice as a top layer. 3 of them have nice subtle glitter particles and 1 doesn't. I surprisingly like these lip glosses from Rimmel because eventhough they are sticky, they do feel comfortable on my lips. They all have long staying power and make my lips looking more plump without giving a stinging sensation. They all smell nice and sweet, but the smell doesn't linger on, so for those of you who are not a fan of scented make up, you don't have to worry much.

CATRICE - Made to Stay Longlasting Eye Shadow #070

It's summer now in Berlin and I don't really like having heavy eye make up in hot sunny days. I've been using my cream eye shadows a lot lately because they're really easy and effortless but still look nice. Besides my most loved L'Oreal Infaillible Eye shadows , I also have been using this eye shadow from Catrice really often.

This eye shadow is part of Catrice new sortiment for Fall/Winter 2012-2013. The color is called 'Mauvie Star' and is a mauvy plum color which is really pretty. There is nothing new about the packaging, a glass pot which is really sturdy and well made. 

On my hand, the color looks a bit too grey, but it's actually a really nice mauvy ( or taupe-y ) plum color. The pigmentation is great, the texture is amazing. It's buttery and creamy but it transforms into something powdery once applied. It doesn't crease on my lids and it wears really nice. The staying power isn't really great though, I do have to re apply after ca. 6 hours I would say, but I think it's fine.

I usually apply it using my finger because I find it better than any brush I have. The color is pretty and not over the top for everyday use. I am really happy with this eye shadow and will be purchasing more from this line for sure!

KIKO Blooming Eyeshadow Palette - Misty Greens

To be honest, I am so easily drawn on pretty, whimsical and cute packaging ( who doesn't, right?) . It happens quite often that I bought stuffs only because they have pretty packaging, and I just did another 'based on packaging' purchase ; an eye shadow palette from KIKO. To justify it even more, it was 50% off :p

Look at the white palette and the artsy design, so pretty isn't it? It also comes with a white velvet pouch.

I am usually only wear neutrals on my eyes, but this eye shadow palette has 5 shades of green that are pretty and wearable. The color selection is really nice, it has 3 shimmer and 2 matte shades. The pigmentation is not amazing but still okay. The texture is smooth, velvety and not dusty. The staying power, if you wear base underneath is fine, but without base, this palette barely give any color, so a good eye shadow base / primer is a must.

Overall, it's not an amazing product as far as the quality goes, but if you like pretty and nice packaging, this eye shadow palette ( was 13,80€ discounted to 6,90€ ) is a nice addition to your collection.

Kiko Creamy Lipstick #389 + #399

I just recently purchased 2 Kiko lipsticks because they are currently on sale for 50% off. I know I really should stop buying more and more lipsticks but I just couldn't resist T.T.

The packaging is really nice. The lipstick comes with a black box, in a sleek matte black bullet which reminds me of MAC. I really like the packaging, looks expensive and sturdy.

Both lipsticks I took are supposed to have creamy finish according to their name. But they look more matte rather than creamy in my opinion. The pigmentation and the staying power are great and the application was smooth and easy. They are really similar to MAC Lipsticks in my opinion, a really great option as a cheaper alternative for MAC ( even without discount, they are retailed only for 6€ ).

#399 is a nude peachy shade. I know I will not wear this shade really often because it looks a bit pale on me, but I think every woman should have this kind of shade to match a heavy smokey eyes make up.

#389 is a muted pink-rosewood color, absolutely my cup of tea. The pigmentation is really nice, it took only a  light swipe on my lips and the color transformed beautifully. Perfect for everyday use because it's not too bright for a working day but also not too dull for a night out.

Overall I am really happy with these lipsticks. I think they are almost an exact dupe to MAC lipstick ( in terms of texture, finish and quality ) and I will definitely try more color on this range.

Deborah Lippmann - Good Girl Gone Bad

I've been wanting to try Deborah Lippmann nail polish for so long, mainly because the hype around youtube and beauty bloggers, but the proud 22-24€ pricetag scare the hell out of my financial balace. But you know that I believe in destiny, yes? So I accidentally found a big bowl of Deborah Lippmann nail polishes in Douglas-Kurfürsterndamm for 50% off and I couldn't resist. 

I tried to look for more color because of the 50% off discount, but unfortunately the other colors were not my cup of tea, so I only bought this one.

To the packaging, I really like the bottle shape. It looks posh, and expensive.The glass is sturdy and it comes with a box, which makes it more 'expensive looking'. I think with the heavy pricetag, they did a good job in packaging.

'Good Girl Gone Bad' is a deep burgundy color which has a lot of red glitters. The color reminds me a lot of christmas, not really a typical summer color, but I love it. It looks rich and divine on my nails and would be perfect for a night out. The application was easy because the brush is slim and slender ( I'm sorry I forgot to take picture of the brush ). It has a matte finish but you can apply a shiny top coat over it, and it will still look stunning.

Overall, I agree that this is a high quality nail polish, but I don't really think this nail polish is worth the price of 22€, thus I am so happy that I got it for only 11€!
